About Your Teacher

I took advanced placement classes in 2-D and 3-D art in high school, from there I enrolled in Miami-Dade College were I received my Associate degree in Art. While at Miami-Dade, I was selected for an internship at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia for my photography skills in 2004. At Virginia Intermont College I learned how to photograph in a studio setting for portrait and commercial use. That same year my photography was published in Miambiance Magazine where it got national recognition. My work has been exhibited numerous times at Miami Dade Kendall art gallery, where I have received grants to continue my studies. I have been exhibited at William L. Noble Art Gallery and the A.T show in Miami. A photograph of mine is currently hung on the 9th Floor of the School Board Building, in the Superintendent of School's, Alberto Carvalho's office. I am not exclusively a photographer, I dabble in many different mediums, for example a pastel portrait of mine was exhibited in the adult exhibition of the 2009 Dade County Youth Fair, and won third place, I received a cash prize of one hundred dollars. I am currently being exhibited at the 2009 A.T. show taking place at the Miami International University of Art and Design in the heart of downtown Miami. In the A.T. show two of my pieces will be shown, one piece is a photograph and the other a pastel piece. I plan to continue putting my work out there for others to see and receive recognition for my work.
